Emma was actually OWL's very first employee, and, as she herself says, she stumbled into OWL thanks to that famous banana peel.

– My partner Tommy and I were planning to move from Kolåsen to Offerdal and were looking for exciting challenges on the job front. That’s when Tommy heard from a colleague that OWL was hiring. I had just completed my degree in economics through distance learning, while working at the Kolåsen mountain hotel, and called Markus at OWL right away.

In the beginning, the focus was on trying out as much as possible and really learning the basics of OWL’s various processes. As more and more colleagues were hired, it became natural for Emma to take on a leadership role while Markus handled sales and growth.

– The fact that I had the opportunity to try my hand at all sorts of things early on in my time at OWL laid a solid foundation for the role I hold today. I really enjoy getting to know and understand our clients’ businesses, and using that understanding to create added value and foster strong partnerships.

Emma especially enjoys her colleagues and the opportunities for professional development at OWL. She also likes the contrast between her work at OWL and what she does in her free time. It gives her a sense of balance.

– I spend a lot of my free time at the farm that my partner and I own in Offerdal. Among other things, I grow vegetables and take care of our animals—Icelandic horses, Åsen sheep, ducks, Hedemora chickens, and Huskies. And since I’m from Småland, I go down there as often as I can to visit my family.
